Tee Unique

Author &Screenwriter

Being able to write stories to liberate those confined, to speak for those muted, to receive those excluded, and to awaken the souls of the untutored are the objectives I wish to create in some shape, form, or fashion through my words.

About Tee Unique

Tee Unique is a California native by way of Watts–Compton and a proud West Coast writer. Her passion for storytelling began at a young age, earning her writing awards at local events and festivals. What once started as a creative outlet has grown into a deeply fulfilling purpose.

At the intersection of marginalized communities, she writes fiction that centers Black love, including sapphic characters and storylines. Pulling from that same passion, Tee Unique’s stories blend fiction and reality, allowing readers to connect, relate, laugh, and heal. She's an indie author who leaves a lasting impression wherever she goes. Her novel, A Queen’s Paradise, is gaining well-deserved attention, with her recent novella, Deliver Us from Sparkle, her first ever Rom-Com, making noise as well!

Her literary fiction/Christian fiction book, Athena's Quest is the soul of Tee Unique's work.

Book Reviews
This is a beautiful coming of age story that shares the of the journey of a young woman navigating multiple identities at the intersections of gender, race, sexuality and religion. The author invites us to bear witness to her journey from childhood to adult, and it's inspiring to see someone who pushed against the status quo to live in their truth. Also as an ally, reading this book was helpful for me to learn more about the experiences of LGBTQIA in a way that is not invasive, and to help me learn how best to show up, support, and uplift my LGBTQIA family/friends. I recommend this book for young people who are struggling with their own identity and may not feel seen or heard, to parents who want to know the experiences of queer children and to support them to be true to who they are, parents who's children are exploring their sexual identities, etc.
